Intersnack IT KG is a member of the Pfeifer & Langen Industrie- und Handels-KG’s group of companies and a sister company to Intersnack Group. Established from the international harmonisation and centralisation of Intersnack Group’s IT estate we are responsible for all group-wide IT services for and within Intersnack Group. It’s our target to provide the common IT infrastructure, aligned IT services and business solutions according to Intersnack’s requirements. Based on a solid digital foundation Intersnack IT KG acts as a partner to all Intersnack functions, actively contributing to Intersnack’s business strategy.
Purpose of team:
Infrastructure has responsibility for defining high-level infrastructure architecture, the creation and approval where appropriate detail infrastructure design and managing the deployment and management of all infrastructure at a Group level. Working across all areas of Groupware, Security, Networks, Servers, Storage, Desktop, and Infrastructure Applications we provide the detail skills and knowledge required to deliver and manage a world-class enterprise infrastructure solution for the Intersnack Group. Working as partners with the local Divisions and our external partners, we strive to achieve excellence in every delivery.
Purpose of role:
As Operational Support Specialist, you will provide a knowledge centre for several key systems and services that support business and IT functions. A small but growing number of applications fall within Intersnack IT's remit but cannot be categorised into the usual core areas covered by specialised teams. A number of these systems need internal knowledge to be acquired to provide support in future events. Still, others require some level of service management from an infrastructure perspective. You will report to the Head of Infrastructure within Intersnack IT. This role may require travel to our project offices and other Intersnack locations up to a maximum of 20% of the time.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide a resource to manage, administer and support a broad range of service solutions in the form of on-premises software, software as a service and 3rdparty service provision.
- Become a source of knowledge for IT and business colleagues in these service solutions.
- Provide support to the training organisation in the creation of training materials to support these solutions.
- Stakeholder management
- Escalation point/manager of resolver group for applications being responsible for
Requirements
Edu cation & Experience:
- At least 15 years of IT Industry Experience
- Experience of multiple operating system environments including, but not limited to, Microsoft and awareness of variants of UNIX.
- Provable experience of rapidly and flexibly gaining functional knowledge, leading to expert understanding of diverse systems and solutions.
- A flexible self-starting workstyle with versatility to do unrelated tasks as well as manual labour.
- Ability to work both solos and were required as part of a coordinated team.
- High level of customer focus and strong support commitment.
- Fluent command of spoken and written the English language is a must
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
