Key Account Manager in Bucureşti


In this role, you have the opportunity to


Develop, maintain and improve relations with a limited number of key-accounts to keep or to set Philips as preferred supplier. Initiate and coordinate all Philips efforts to the accounts in order to maximize the output of the sales group. Create and implement action programs for and with the key-accounts to improve the performance of Philips.

You are responsible for:

  • Selling PH products at existing customers as well as developing new customers, optimizing value for Philips and the account;

  • Building strong customer intimacy, building the brand, introducing and selling new and innovative products, and driving point of sale presence and activity;

  • Setting up targets (annual/quarterly/monthly) for assigned customers towards achieving agreed business aims, including sales, costs, marketing mix, pricing and margins;

  • Developing and implementing Account Plans for assigned accounts according to the agreed templates and time line;

  • Ensuring competition is actively benchmarked and acted upon;

  • Giving structured feedback and conclusions from customers to Sales Manager;

  • Responsible for accurate Account Promotions plan and AR collection;

  • Analyzing level of stock in trade vs. sell-out performance and proposing to the customers corrective action (orders, promotional activities, etc.);

  • Setting up contractual Marketing/COOP budgets for designated accounts;

  • Identifying business opportunities and pinpointing problem area within the channel;

  • Managing order fulfilment process together with Supply;

  • Optimizing and expanding the online marketing activities based on analyses and business opportunities;

  • Fulfilling other job related tasks required by management in order to maximize business results.

You are a part of the Sales Team Romania. You will be working from our office in Bucharest and will be collaborating with many teams.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • University degree level (ideally economics);

  • 5 to 7 years overall experience in a sales environment;

  • Previous experience as key account manager (ideally 2 years);

  • Basic understanding of finance;

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to convince others and a strong customer focus;

  • Proactive, goal-oriented, with very good analytical, planning and coordination skills;

  • Experience of managing major national accounts at head office level;

  • Advanced PC user (MS Office);

  • Good English knowledge;

  • Valid driving license and experience.
