Senior/Lead Analytics Engineer (with Python)About your future TeamYou will join the Data Strategy, Engineering and Innovation team based in Alcon Digital Hub with the main office in Warsaw, our newly launched powerhouse for designing and delivering innovative solutions across data & analytics, front-end engineering, and other technology areas. You will become a member of a highly successful Analytics Engineering team which is responsible for development and management of data pipelines and analytical products across various domains including but not limited to manufacturing and technical operations, business finance and financial accounting, R&D, commercial, HR, internal audit & compliance.About your future RoleAs a Senior or Lead Analytics Engineer, you’ll be a dedicated expert responsible for planning and execution of data & analytics roadmap within global Internal Communications and Corporate Affairs. We expect you to closely collaborate with the business teams to identify key opportunities for automation of data flows and analytical cases. You will be responsible for identifying new data integration patterns and creating new data engineering pipelines to hydrate the data lake. Additionally, you will develop analytical products such as dashboards and models to empower the business in the decision-making process. Apart from your contribution to the project, you will also collaborate with peer data and analytics engineers as part of a community of practice. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our analytical capability within Internal Communications & Corporate Affairs function.Responsibilities:Lead development of analytical solutions within the communications and corporate affairs domain.Build highly scalable and resilient data pipelines using Python, PySpark, SparkSQL and/or Scala. Adopt AWS data lake and data related services to implement end-to-end solutions. Develop state-of-the-art Tableau and Google Data Studio dashboards to empower and support business users in strategic and tactical planning of communication strategies.Create and adjust data & analytics roadmap in close collaboration with the business team.Analyze A/B and multivariate tests and serve as an advocate for proper experimental design and testing.Work as a domain expert for web analytics - working on business and technical definitions of KPIs connected to web users and their engagement.Work with business partners and engineering teams on addressing data quality problems in available data sets and addressing process issues causing data quality issues.Lead POCs of data science and ML solutions leveraging tools such as Data Robot.What we expect from you:5+ years of experience in data and/or analytics engineering area.Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala.Extensive experience with Apache Spark including working in PySpark and Spark SQL.Very good working knowledge of AWS Services like Glue, EMR, S3, SNS, SQS, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, and Step functionsExperience with performing data modeling, data analysis and providing insights using various tools.Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases concepts (at least 3 years of professional experience).Understanding and experience with Google Analytics and Google Data Studio or other digital analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Quantum, Emplifi)Experience in ETL (preferably AWS Glue and Alteryx) and data visualization (Tableau, Google Data Studio, Amazon QuickSight) tools.Working knowledge about running A/B and multivariate tests, knowledge of statistics.Ability to present business and technical issues, ideas, and recommendations in verbal, written, and presentation formats using storytelling and logical arguments.Experience in web analytics/tracking user behavior projects.Knowledge of key data science and machine learning concepts coupled with some experience in data science projects or willingness to develop in this area.Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.Experience working in an Agile team.Fluent English - we are a global team, so a very good command of English is a must.Excellent communication skills.What we can offer you: Opportunity to work in a high paced agile environment and the chance to work with people who are passionate of delivering outcomes and a culture of simplification and ownershipPossibility to influence the design of the solution responding to business needs to enhance customer experienceTruly international environment and daily interactions with colleagues from all over the world Competitive salary level, various employment contract optionsFlexible hours and remote work possibilities Brand new office in Marynarska 15, Warsaw, with a lot of facilities inside You are applying to be part of the Alcon Talent Pool.
