We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian faith.Come join our 34,000+ staff working in nearly 100 countries and share the joy of transforming vulnerable children’s life stories!Employee Contract Type:Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)Job Description:Position: National Security Coordinator Romania & MoldovaLocation: Bucharest with travel to other locations in Romania & Moldova​MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy and PlanningAssist with the implementation of the Regional Office/ERP security strategy in alignment with World Vision security policy so as to ensure the operational priorities of the RO/ERP are appropriately supported.Ensure Security Risk Assessments, Country Risk Ratings and Core Security Requirement standards, processes and procedures are completed in accordance with current Office of Corporate Security guidelines and trainingProvide assistance with all security related activities with regard to Security Risk management in the region/operational areaSecurity operationsWork with the Response & security Director to carry out Security Risk Assessments as required/directed.Country Risk Ratings are established and updated as requiredEnsure Core Security Requirements are implemented in line with Country Risk RatingsProvide input and support to RO/ERP management in crisis situations and critical incidentsConduct security investigations when requiredNetworking and External Liaison/EngagementRepresent WV at local NGO security network meetings and ensure information from these groups is disseminated to relevant staff.Build ongoing networks for sharing security information and coordinationCapacity Building and Technical TrainingCoordinate the assessment, development and implementation of the regional office/ERP capacity building plan for security management based on local security risk assessmentsSeek to develop a culture of security awareness and monitor staff complianceReporting & documentationProvide a regular security report to the Regional Office and National Office security department.Ensure that all security incidents are reported in accordance with WV Security PolicyCollect, analyse and disseminate security information appropriately.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSRequired Professional ExperienceNo previous criminal record or convictionsAt least three (1) years’ experience in a proven security field (public, private, and government or NGO sectors).Field communications equipment experience, operations and managementRequired Education, training, license, registration, and certificationBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Police/Law Enforcement TrainingPreferred Knowledge and QualificationsDemonstrated experience in designing and delivering training.Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure (particularly in a crisis situation)Valid Passport and Driver’s License.First Aid qualified.Languages:Ability to communicate well in English (verbal and written) – particularly in a crisis situation.Ukrainian would be an advantageNote: This position requires regular travel between national office in Romania & Moldova & Field-based Offices and programming areas.Candidates require a high level of physical and mental fitness particularly within high risk environments where ‘usualApplicant Types Accepted:Local Applicants Only
