Complex desktop solution for controlling an industrial system composed of a robotic part that handles parts, a station where parts are processed and a station for human interaction. The UI is in WPF but stripped down of most logic, it sends commands through a self-hosted Web Api in a windows service and receives notifications via SignalR.
Main purpose of the application is to be able to run autonomously once it has been started so the processing of parts can be done with limited costs. The user can create templates for processing, create/plan workflows, where the system will automatically handle this pipeline of work, without user interaction. The system measures & tracks the resource usage (during processing) and predicts what can be executed at the machine with the current resources in storage.
Extra validation needs to be done to ensure the user’s safety inside the system. Continuous integration is especially important because some solutions are developed by the client’s team. All the hardware commands and sensor values are communicated via external API’s (REST)
.Net Developer 3-5 years (.NET 4.5+)
WPF/Xamarin Forms (1+ year experience)
REST experience (Web API + SignalR, Swagger, Postman)
Multi-threaded application (TPL and synchronization mechanisms)
Good documentation skills (diagrams and technical specifications)
