As the Marketing Intern, you will be an integral member of the CEEMEA PayTV central team, supporting with marketing & social campaigns across Discovery’s key Lifestyle and Factual brands including: Discovery Channel, TLC, HGTV, Food Network, ID, Science and Animal Planet. We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident self-starter who is keen to gain exposure in TV marketing within a busy, fast-paced organisation. You will be able to balance a range of different tasks simultaneously and will bring excellent organisational and communication skills, delivering a professional service at all times. The Marketing Intern will report into the Marketing Manager, however they will be a key member of the wider team, also working closely with the Digital and Social Managers to help develop engaging content across our multiple online platforms.
The paid internship is targeted towards current university students on their placement year, or young graduates.
-Support creation of marketing campaigns and other special projects
-Work closely with production team on insights to inform, then write and present creative briefs
-Identify and coordinate requirements for marketing camp;aigns, develop schedules, assignments and cutsheets
-Establish close working relationships with other internal teams including programming, production, affiliates, press and digital/social
-Work closely with the design team on trafficking all creative requests for the department and other internal teams
-Maintain promotional materials inventory as well as marketing administrative needs
-College degree combined with 1-3 years of marketing/advertising work experience and/or relevant internship experiences.
-Direct experience in the consumer discipline, consumer promotion and TV industry is a plus.
-Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
-Must be a highly organized, self-starter and detail-oriented.
