PrimeOne Solutions Architect and Regional Lead in Bucuresti

Your RoleWe are seeking a solutions architect to lead technical implementations within the PrimeOne team. As part of our roadmap we need to upgrade and evolve our technology. We require a candidate that has experience of developing microservice based applications and/or cloud native applications. The candidate will be required to understand our applications and propose (and justify) the best way of re-engineering them into scalable, easily maintainable platforms using the latest design patterns and technology.The candidate will also be required to help with existing applications and will be responsible for implementing client and technology sponsored changes within any PrimeOne application. These changes will vary in size from small tactical fixes to larger, system wide enhancements. The candidate must be happy working closely with the client and internal analysts to gather requirements and discuss potential solutions. They will be expected to assist with the analysis and design of solutions and test their changes.In addition to development responsibilities L2 support will be required.Duties & Accountabilities:Development Lead - Take a lead role in the development and oversight of projects related to re-engineering. Propose architecture, design and tooling for any re-engineering. Help across the PrimeOne estate by mentoring and advising developers from all teams (when asked) on the best way to accomplish certain tasks. Set the bar for quality in terms of development, testing, approach and documentation.Development – Development of the PrimeOne platforms and in accordance with the application’s roadmap, design patterns, standards and business vision of the division. Assistance with analysis and requirement definition, solution design, coding of changes and writing of unit tests to ensure changes match both functional and non-functional requirements.Support – Although we have a dedicated support team, the development team is responsible for resolving issues escalated to them by the support team. This involves being available (on a rota basis) for escalations overnight and at weekends.Continuous Delivery – Assist with the team’s vision of improving our continuous delivery through implementation of automated unit tests.Technical Vision – Play a major role in defining the long term technical road map for the PrimeOne platforms ensuring that the technical solutions and patterns within the application remain current and that we are constantly improving the quality and ease of delivery. Proactively engage in efforts to reduce technical debt and the remediation of issues related to code quality, functional behaviour, and performance.About YouEducation and experienceExtensive commercial experience architecting and building platforms (ideally financial markets related) using C#Commercial experience of microservices and/ or cloud native developmentComputer Science degree preferred but commercial experience deemed more relevantCommercial awarenessExpert knowledge of .NET framework and .NET core, experience of Remoting, Winforms, WPF and WCFIdeally has experience of HTML5, Angular and building RESTful API’sDetailed understanding of Transact-SQL preferably using SQL Server. Including creation of tables, indexes and stored proceduresExcellent understanding of OO concepts, 3 tier applications and microservicesExperience designing and developing global, multi-user, high volume transactional applicationsCommercial experience performance tuning .NET applications and SQLExperience of either: Agile, Spiral, Waterfall or Iterative development methodologiesExperience of Continuous Integration tools (preferably TeamCity) and code analytic tools.Management requirementsAs a senior member of the team, we expect the candidate to provide local line management to other developers and automation engineers based in Bucharest.
