Overview Purpose of the jobThe Private Bank Cloud Solution Architect (PB CSA) functions as a Cloud Subject Matter Expert for driving the architecture and technology aspects in the context of the cloud computing strategy for the entire Private Bank business area. From a geographical perspective, the scope of the role covers the Private Bank Germany as well as the International Private Bank with a broad number of locations across APAC, EMEA and the US.ResponsibilitiesDefine and maintain a cloud adoption plan for the entire Private Bank. In this context, define and apply appropriate prioritization criteria (covering technological, functional, operational and cost related drivers). Based on this, derive a staggered migration plan aiming to transform and migrate the PB application landscape in a manner maximizing the overall benefits.Represent the Private Bank in Deutsche Bank global Cloud Architecture design forums and ensure that PB related requirements are appropriately considered in the context of the overall DB Cloud Design.Develop and define blueprints and design principles for PB’s cloud application portfolio  Ensure that global cloud design standards, implementation patterns and best practices are made transparent and are consistently being followed across all PB areas.Support the technical design of the applications / services and ensure appropriate adherence to Cloud Architecture Blueprints and Principles in close collaboration with the architects and other relevant stakeholders within the respective PB domains. In this context, especially ensure that all relevant non-functional requirements are met and solutions are designed for scalability, flexibility, cost-efficiency and re-use.Proactively share knowledge of modern software development techniques and technology in order to ensure design of services that utilize the agreed-upon cloud technologies in an effective manner.Collaborate with the relevant Cloud Technology & Architecture stakeholders in the central Deutsche Bank programme and in other business units.Innovate and – in close collaboration with the respective business domains - come up with ideas on how specific cloud capabilities could be leveraged to boost new business opportunities.Competencies, Skills & ExperienceExcellent understanding of cloud computing technologies and multiple years of experience (and relevant certifications) with Cloud Hyperscaler Environments (Google, AWS, Microsoft) – ideally Google.Relevant hands-on experience in designing and developing cloud-native solutions as well as in re-architecting existing applications for the cloud with the aim to leverage cloud-native elements wherever practically feasible.Understanding of recent computing trends and familiarity with enterprise architecture, application integration and service based architecture.Being involved in at least one enterprise level form on-premises/hybrid to cloud migration.Generally a broad set of architecture knowledge & skills, especially related to Infrastructure, Networks, Security and Data / Analytics technology.Very good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies.Very good communication skills, both written and verbal, comprising also the ability to translate complex technical content and dependencies into a language which can be understood by a broader group of stakeholders.Persuasive power and persistence in driving architecture strategyAbility to think out of the box and apply the appropriate architecture patterns to new use cases.Ability to work in an agile and dynamic environment and to build up knowledge related to new technology / solutions in an effective and timely mannerAbility to appropriately consider other dimensions (e.g. Financials, Risk, Time to Market) on top of the architecture drivers, in order to propose balanced and feasible architecture solutions.
