The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) is accountable for the usage, scorecard, and market share for Microsoft 365 products in the area (with a high focus towards Microsoft Teams). The PMM is required to have a strong understanding of the product set, and a deep understanding of customer solutions and strategies. This role is seen as the voice of the products within the area as well as the leader and the spokesperson for the product set. The PMM is responsible for leveraging customer needs, competitive knowledge, and product expertise to drive the relevant business and marketing planning.
The Product Marketing Manager understands, orchestrates, and influences customer campaigns, marketing activities, and delivers product, solutions and customer campaign feedback to the business. An essential aspect of the role of the Product Marketing Manager is to align the content, timing, and delivery of marketing messages and outreach to Microsoft’s customers and partners. The PMM must develop strong partnerships across marketing, partner, services, and sales to lead and execute the fiscal year priorities.
Responsibilities
Microsoft Viva (40%)
Drive Microsoft Viva Awareness activities both internally and for partners.Land Employee Experience Sales Play successfully to the field.Develop and work on a clear plan with Sales and Partner organization to land customer and partner wins.Leading Area Viva v-team to define the goals and actions for Viva landingEnsure utilization of all the available programs and resources for Viva.Business Management (10%)
Drive a robust Consumption Rhythm of the Business across organization.Drive Correction of Error plans through Sales Plays execution across our scorecard priorities.Develop local business management strategy - partner with usage engines to interpret market opportunity/risk and build appropriate go-to-market.Provide business objectives to Central Marketing Organization (CMO) Integrated Marketing Managers who develop integrated marketing plans. PMMs participate in the workstreams led by CMO to build a comprehensive event plan for the complete fiscal year.Product Evangelism (10%)
Land messaging and positioning framework for Teams Meetings, Teams Platform and Teams Phone.Land customer conversation with the field including sales play content, TCO, compete battlecards, and integrate go-to-market activities and Call-to-Action Drive Microsoft 365 usage through deep product knowledge, customer evidence, demos, and modern storytelling of Teams Meetings and Teams Platform.Partner Ecosystem (40%)
Grow the ecosystem and drive usage with 3rd party solutions.Monitor partner ecosystem to ensure appropriate competency and capacity. Participate in Governance Council to provide feedback and advocate to close gaps with partner organization. Drive awareness of partner value and partner programs with field sellers and Customer Success Managers (CSMs)Lead the Rhythm of Business (ROB) for Partner Attach to ensure use of partner programs and hygiene of pipeline.Lead the Fasttrack Ready Partner Program.Grow Usage for Teams Meetings, Teams Platform and Teams Phone though partners. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required, relevant fields of study include Marketing, Business, Computer Science
