What will you contribute?
Within the Global Procurement Department, this role provides Team Lead support to the other Buyers as well as acts in an individual contributor capacity procuring goods and services to support a variety of strategic requirements as directed by the Director, Global Purchasing.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Act as a trusted advisors and strategic business partners to key stakeholders at varying levels (including the Leadership team) by identifying and supporting their critical requirements and providing procurement services to meet and exceed their expectations
Drive significant cost savings for Finastra by negotiated strong commercial terms with critical vendors
Deal with daily rush / urgent requests. Balance speed of execution to keep up with stakeholder demands while maintaining policy adherence.
Lead negotiations of commercial terms (pricing, payment terms, license terms, delivery, SLAs, etc) for the complex / critical requests on behalf of the Purchasing team.
Adhoc (but often) interaction with ELT+, and FLT stakeholders to support their procurement needs (contract reviews, vendor issues, RFP, RFQ, purchase requests, system issues) on critical, strategic, & complex requests that come into the pipeline of the team.
Work closely with Risk, Finance and Legal colleagues to ensure that vendor contracts protect the Finastra’s interest, manages risk, and align to budget requirements.
Negotiate complex vendor agreements, ensuring best possible commercial terms for Finastra, including pricing, payment terms, SLAs, software license terms, etc
Develop standard operating procedures for the team, question the “as-is” process, and drive process improvement for the team

Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years progressive experience in Procurement
Strong experience with stakeholder management, creating a Business Partner relationship with senior level stakeholders
Experience leading cross-functional teams as well as an ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience in applying best practices for strategic sourcing, contract language / experience in drafting contracts, negotiating contract terms and conditions while both delivering results and maintaining internal and external relationships
Ability to present to senior levels in the organization and command and drive/own a meeting
Experience in strategizing and leading complex vendor negotiations
