QA Lead in Sibiu

Responsibilities Working inside a Scrum team, the QA Lead will have to: Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met Write and run Automation tests over project code written in Java Use BDD methodology with Cucumber Understand the product insights, analyze the requirements together with the developers, prepare the test cases (following BDD and 3 Amigos) Use his/her expertise and be ready to help the team Create issue tickets by providing a helpful description or replicate customer issues, provide a root cause analysis and translate them into clear steps Be involved in estimates for features development and bug fixing activities Be able to keep an awareness about a release’s quality internally for the development team or for the customer Get involved in test activities during all Project Development Life Cycle phases Get involved in requirements discovery, intuition in finding test cases, test methods, test types, good analysis Lead and mentors a small testing team to reach the project goals Manage the execution of assigned QA activities and prioritize them Assess risks early in the production pipeline and deliver reports and solutions to the development team Qualifications and Experience Strong understanding of Java and OOP principles Deal with test frameworks (Selenium / Cypress / Protractor) Continuous Integration (Jenkins / TeamCity / GitLab) from a Test Engineer point of view Experience in version control systems (preferably GIT) Strong analytical skills, able to provide support to solve business or production problems Highly collaborative, supportive and team player that demonstrates a proactive ‘can do’ attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Passion about sharing knowledge and best practices Fluent English (written/verbal) The following skills would be a plus: Experience in API testing Experience in CI tools (preferably Jenkins) Experience in working with relational DBs German knowledge
