Please find out more about us at www.driv.com Role Purpose You are the Regional Advanced Manufacturing Engineering network expert for New Product Introduction. Core team member of the Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team to define and develop new state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and equipment across all OE business units. As a critical part of this role, you will drive investigations of existing manufacturing processes and trials with the shop floor technicians to reduce manufacturing process variation and improve product consistency and conversion cost. Key Responsibilities Support, collaborate, and execute industrialization tasks on Process Batches production with the local industrialization team during the industrialization phase.Lead process variation reduction projects (DMAIC).Support for Formulation development / Trial runs, and industrialization (Proto shop) and critical NPI Industrialization / Customer projects Define and run DoE’s.Execute bookshelf activities in close relationship to Product Engineering.Active team member in the interface for Operations/AME support for Core Development.Collaborates closely with Product, Core Process, Application Engineering, and Quality.Team member to generate, assess and develop innovative breakthrough ideas to be converted into new competitive manufacturing processes.In close collaboration with the Core Process Engineering and AME Process Managers and Experts, develops capable and cost-competitive manufacturing processes.Support standard manufacturing frame for all processes.Support handover procedures Launch to Production.Provide Six Sigma support to the plants.Support AME NPI Manager on getting the correct plant capacity /utilization to choose the suitable capacity sites + help determine the right manufacturing sites.Support to AME NPI Manager in PAP costing process requirements from the AME NPI Team What we offer We want to make you feel welcomed, challenged, and inspired. We adhere to social distancing recommendations and other protocols, ensuring a safe work environment.Required ExperienceWhat will make you successful Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, method/process, chemical or mechanical Engineering background preferred.Management experience and background in the automotive industry are preferred.At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Product Engineering roles.Experience and demonstrable capability in Manufacturing Engineering.Track record of success working within and across functional teams in driving change and implementing new processes to improve manufacturing efficiency significantly.Experience working in a matrix environment, managing multiple priorities, and providing appropriate communication skills.Success in managing multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, making sound decisions, and working effectively in a highly technical, team-oriented environment.Lean Expert or Black Belt certified highly appreciated. High practical knowledge in using six sigma tools.Minitab quality tool knowledgeTravel is required to support trials in prototyping and manufacturing sitesProficiency in English
