We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian faith.Come join our 34,000+ staff working in nearly 100 countries and share the joy of transforming vulnerable children’s life stories!Employee Contract Type:Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)Job Description:This position is based on UkraineMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESRisk Management Support the contextualization of the World Vision International (WVI) Emergency Response Management (ERM) Framework and Policy in a manner that is commensurate with the size, complexity and risk profile of the US Agency for International Development Bureau of Humanitarian Affairs (BHA) funded Ukraine Response Consortium and in a manner that builds risk awareness and promotes risk based decision making. Support leadership to establish risk governance structures (e.g. Risk Committee).Support consortium stakeholders in developing, implementing and continuously improving Risk Management structures and processes (including a strategy, risk register and risk appetite statement) and ensure that those structures and procedures are in alignment with the WVI Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework.Support the identification, analysis, evaluation, mitigation and monitoring of risks and ensure that key findings are captured within consortium coordination tools and mechanisms, and reviewed on a regular basis.Monitor and analyse risks within the Ukraine Response Consortium internal and external context to conduct comparative analysis with incident data and other sources of risk data for a holistic view of the risk profile. Ensure that significant and fast-moving risks are escalated to leadership on a timely basis.Build strong partnerships with all departments to understand the risks to their functions and support strengthening department specific risk management processes.Support with training of consortium partners and stakeholders on Risk Management principles and practices and in regards of the usage of Riskonnect.Evaluate existing mitigation measures and provide feedback to management on their efficiency and effectiveness.Compliance Management Support functional management and line management to ensure that policies, procedures and waivers are well defined and in compliance with global policies, applicable to external context and compatible with external regulations.Together with respective functional and line management coordinate the implementation of policies, procedures and standards to ensure that staff across the Ukraine Response Consortium understand key requirements and how to meet them.Ensure monitoring of global, local and external policies and regulations is conducted through the Integrated Compliance Monitoring Tool (ICMT).Ensure that an inclusive, data-driven approach is used that reflects compliance gaps so that the Ukraine Response Consortium is able to articulate and mitigate compliance risks.Ensure that relevant compliance violations are documented, reported and investigated according to respective policies and procedures and reflected across available WVI systems and processes.Incident & Investigation ManagementCoordinate the Integrated Incident Management (IIM) approach within the Ukraine Response Consortium to ensure that respective incidents are being reported, managed and followed-up on.Provide training on incident reporting, Incident Management principles and practices as well as the usage of the Incident Management system EthicsPoint.Compile data from EthicsPoint and conduct analysis for a holistic view of incident data and trends and communicate key trends. Ensure that incidents and investigations are analysed and relevant Lessons Learned, and After-Action Reviews, are applied throughout the project, reducing the likelihood and impact of repeat incidents.Coordinate investigations for cases related to the Ukraine Response Consortium in response to incidents, allegations and complaints with relevant functional owners (i.e. People & Culture, GIIU, Safeguarding).Ensure investigations are conducted legally, ethically, on a timely and cost-effective basis and in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.Provide support and guidance to senior managers overseeing investigation.Lead or participate in investigations if needed.If necessary, create and supervise an investigative team on specific investigations where required.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSTwo years of working experience in relevant field (report writing, academic research, international non-governmental organizations work, law, risk and data analysis, grant quality and compliance) is preferredUniversity (Bachelor essential, master’s preferred) relevant to the field of international relations, political science, disaster management, international development, humanitarian law, data management/information systems, international/political studies, sociology, population studies and other related fields)PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSRisk & Compliance, Governance or Fraud approved international certifications will be considered an advantageTRAVEL AND/OR WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTAbility to travel to/within Ukraine.Ability to communicate in English.
