The role As a Sales Compensation Expert, you will be responsible for supporting the compensation needs of the sales business through both analytical and consultant services. The incumbent will work directly with the People & Culture leadership and Business leadership to achieve system objectives and provide hands-on assistance related to all areas of total rewards analysis with a special focus on variable pay. Specific duties to include: Drive and collaborate on a variety of projects including analysis, program design, budgeting, and implementation of new sales incentive programs. Perform initial analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and model potential impact of alternatives and future programs. Design and build sales compensation plans and commission incentive programs that drive the right sales behaviours, enabling success and business profitability. Use market and benchmark information to reflect best practice approaches in the development of compensation programs. Get input and provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues with a focus on variable pay programs. Work with HRIS to ensure that MS Dynamics 365, MS Dynamics NAV, and other corporate systems meet compensation needs and are updated to reflect programmatic changes. Document processes and build compensation playbooks. Perform deep analysis of effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation programs and model potential impact of alternatives and future programs in collaboration with the Business Intelligence unit. Consult with businesses on job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation. What we need to see from you Employee Satisfaction: Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees within the organization and Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data. Ability to connect disparate data sources and operationalize tasks. Comfortable with large data sets. Customer Focus: Strong problem solving, communication, and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be well organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player. Speed: The ability to work independently, take on responsibility, and be nimble in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment. Humble: Experience enhancing and/or implementing compensation systems and reporting tools. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in sales analytics, -controlling, -compensation, or -consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core sales compensation terminology and best practices. Passion: Highly proficient in Excel; familiar with MS Business Mgmt Software. Proficiency in Excel Macros; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Power Pivot and Tableau experience is preferred. Integrity: General compensation knowledge required including compliance with country laws/regulations that apply to the plans. Discipline: Extremely strong analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for planning, doing and auditing work. Highly detail driven with an emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture Experience in software and software-reseller business highly preferred Strong writing skills Fluent English skills A Bachelor’s degree is required.
