SQL (regular) Tableau (regular) Altyrex (regular) About your future TeamYou will be a part of the central data & analytics team based in Alcon Digital Hub, our newly launched powerhouse for designing and delivering innovative solutions across data & analytics, front-end engineering, and other technology areas. You will join a highly successful project team delivering data & analytics products which help our clinical application services consultants ensure that customers use full potential of Alcon surgical equipment and devices.About your future RoleAs a Senior Analytics Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in delivering end-to-end analytical solutions used by Clinical Application Services and the team’s stakeholders across the globe. It will include gathering business requirements, exploring the available data and identifying applicable information, development of highly performant ETL workflows and data pipelines leveraging tools and platforms such as Alteryx and AWS as well as, data visualization in Tableau and Salesforce CRM Analytics.ResponsibilitiesDelivery of end-to-end business intelligence and analytics engineering projects – involvement from requirements gathering and solution design through data preparation and date pipelines creation to development of analytical dashboardsDevelopment of ETL workflows leveraging Alteryx Designer and Server (including advanced macros and analytic apps), as well as other ETL tools if neededDevelopment of dashboards in Tableau and Salesforce CRM Analytics.Research and identification of all required data points and their availability across various systems and platforms (AWS data lake, Salesforce, SAP and other proprietary systems).Creation and maintenance of data pipelines on AWS platform.Ownership of created solutions across the platforms including: access management, enhancements implementation and bug fixing.Point about sharing best practicesWhat we expect from you:Solid engineering background with at least 4 years of professional experience in the data & analytics area.3+ years’ experience in developing complex solutions in Alteryx Designer (including advanced macros and analytic apps) and Alteryx Server.Strong visual analytics skills and knowledge of best practices, preferably in Tableau, Salesforce CRM Analytics or other data visualization software.Strong SQL skills paired with good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.Excellent communication skills in English – it is essential as it is a global customer-facing role.Nice-to-haves:Good Python and data engineering skills.Alteryx certification (Alteryx Designer Core, Alteryx Designer Advanced, Alteryx Designer Expert)Experience in working with Salesforce dataStrong experience with AWS, preferably backed by AWS certification (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate).Knowledge of modern data architecture concepts and cloud solutions (preferably AWS).Experience in working as a part of an Agile team and using tools such as Jira and Confluence.What Alcon can offer you: Access to upskilling and reskilling framework through which you can expand your data engineering and architecture skillset.Opportunity to contribute to critical data & analytics initiatives leveraging state-of-the-art technologies on a global scale.Great career growth opportunities – both vertical and horizontal.Possibility to influence the design of the solution responding to business needs to enhance customer experience.Very competitive hourly rate on B2B contract.Flexible hours and remote work possibilities.
