Our teams are responsible for Martech, Access, Activation and Retention, Search, Partners usage, and Mobile Excellence. We develop and maintain Gympass's App, frontend and backend services, Design System and work closely with product, UX, and data teams to create an excellent experience for the users of our platform.YOUR IMPACTAs a Senior Software Engineer, you are a passionate developer who is driven by getting things done in high quality and timely. You will have plenty of opportunities to take part in architectural decisions, suggest improvements and interact with the product team and other business stakeholders in a highly collaborative, agile environment. Responsibilities: Help to define the architecture of systems and integrations, bring innovation to the table, and make sure design docs are up to dateEnsure successful deliveries, and promote the long-term technical health of our journeysEnsure a high bar on code quality standards, making sure devs are proud of their workSpread development best practices such as code reviews, pair programming, TDD, etcBuild reusable code for future useTake part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the productionFollow up engineering and product KPIsMain requirements WHO YOU AREExperience designing and developing complex modern web applicationsExperience in developing RESTful web services collaborating with front end teams to create mocks, define payloads, and HTTP status of APIsExperience with at least two different programming languages such as Go, Scala, Kotlin, or JavaExperience with SQL/NoSQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, understanding common use cases and performance pitfallsExperience dealing with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as RabbitMQ, KAFKA, ActiveMQ, etc., and an in-depth understanding of their use cases and pitfallsExperienced in implementing prototypes and in practices and concepts such as MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles for rolling-out features to productionExperience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.Experience with monitoring, observability, and KPIs trackingExperience with microservices and high volume distributed systemsExperience with Cloud-based architectures in the AWSStrong communication skills, including verbal and written English and PortugueseBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent practical experienceNice to have The following would be considered a plus:Experience with System IntegrationsExperience with Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence)Experience in our Tech Stack in generalBenefits & PerksWELLNESS: Health and dentalFLEXIBLE WORK: Choose when and where you work.
