You will face a disruptive and emerging business model that will push you in several areas, with no boundaries for creation and collaboration. THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a Senior Back End Engineer to join our Search & Recommendation Team in Brasil! The Search & Recommendation Team is responsible for providing exploration and discovery services for Gympass’ end-users, allowing them to easily find the wellbeing partners more suited to their preferences and needs. Currently we provide Gym search capabilities for the Gympass app and personalized recommendations of Personal Trainers.  YOUR IMPACTBuild scalable, maintainable architectures, and write clean and readable code;Be responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of software services for search, recommendation and other end-user-focused exploration and discovery technologies;Lead engineering projects and work with other engineers within the team and across teams to define our technical roadmap;Ensure successful delivery of projects, and promote the long-term technical health of our services;Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve services focusing on both performance and accuracy;Analyze and interpret data to infer user preferences and needs, and evolving trends and topics;Bring expertise in architecture and design process, dive into the most complex technical problems;Build integrations with 3rd party API and tools;Manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables;Contribute to the entire product development process and brainstorm different ideas. Main requirements   WHO YOU AREBS degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience;4+ years of experience designing and developing complex modern web applications;Experience applying object-oriented or functional design and RESTful web services;Experience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis;Experience with at least two programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Scala, Ruby, Python or Go;Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers;Experience using cloud platforms and/or containerized application deployments;Experience with both SQL and NoSQL technologies, such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch;Strong communication skills including verbal and written English and Portuguese;Experience architecting large-scale multi-tier web applications;Interest and ability to learn other coding languages and multiple cloud platforms;Experience with Information Retrieval, Recommendation Systems, and/or Natural Language Processing; Nice to haveExperience applying object-oriented or functional design and RESTful web services;Experience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis;Experience with at least two programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Scala, Ruby, Python or Go;Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers;Experience using cloud platforms and/or containerized application deployments;Experience with both SQL and NoSQL technologies, such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch;Strong communication skills including verbal and written English and Portuguese;Experience architecting large-scale multi-tier web applications;Interest and ability to learn other coding languages and multiple cloud platforms;Experience with Information Retrieval, Recommendation Systems, and/or Natural Language Processing; Benefits & PerksWELLNESS: Health and dentalFLEXIBLE WORK: Choose when and where you work.
