Data Management team ensures the smooth communication among several teams of the organization, aiming to facilitate information flows end to end across the Sustainalytics organization – sometimes extending to Morningstar if needed.This team’s main functions:Support product management and commercialization teams in defining new process and data flows or enhancing existing ones, to support new or enhanced products delivered to clients.Manage, from a business and technical perspective, the business entities that are covered with research for products delivered to clients.Work closely with other technology teams to provide the necessary data management and configuration of internal and external platforms and tools.Participate in cross-teams quality and efficiency improvement projects, to improve client experience and increase efficiency of internal processes and resources allocation. In this position, you will:Use a critical eye to review and assessexisting datasets and data structures used by the team, to (re)define and maintain the data and tools architecture in line with the business requirements;Identify, propose and document solutions for automating data and operational processes managed by the team, to streamline processes and support business objectives that drive efficiency and quality;Collaborate closely with data analysts in the team to develop automated data querying and data management components and tools (Pentaho ETLs, Python and SQL scripts, Power BI reports etc.) to automate quality checks and data management tasks performed by the team as part of ongoing processes or to accommodate ad hoc requirements raised in projects. Work closely with client facing teams (product management, client relations and commercialization teams etc.) who are responsible for defining the business requirements for company’s products’ coverage with research, to (re)design existing or new processes, data structures and data flows for the respective coverage needs;Create and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for the tools andother automated components of processes, to ensure smooth handover of tools to analysts who use these in the downstream flow;*The above is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities, and you will be expected to perform different other tasks as necessitated by changes within the organization and the overall business objectives of the organization.Required skills and experience:2+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL or other SQL dialect)Very good knowledge and relevant experience (2+ years) with Python scriptingGood understanding/willingness to gain expertise related to financial markets and corporate related data;Ability to grasp complex processes and assess the impact of business requirements on existing data flow;Experience with translating business needs into requirements (epics, user stories) for development teams; Team working and constructive attitude;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Bonus if you have:Knowledge about Capital Markets.
