Front End Engineer

Our incubator is a fast-track for talented people to become Founders. We validate new ideas, leverage data, distribution and IP from our partners, then build founding teams to develop 13 startups each year.
We’re looking for engineers to join us as we create a next-generation tech platform for early-stage start-ups. This platform will be pivotal in supporting and scaling businesses from our portfolio from conception to launch and beyond.
The launching of a Founders Factory tech-hub in Bucharest, Romania, enable us to tap into experienced technologists, engineers and growing talent in this region and we’d love you to join us!
What You Will Be Doing
Working closely with the Head of Engineering you will help build the Founders Factory tech platform which is designed to support all new Incubator companies in our London office.
You will be working and collaborating with the wider team in London consisting of design, concept and engineering.
The main focus will be on helping develop our platform but you will also have the opportunity to work ad-hoc with multiple incubation companies.
*Set the technical direction for our front-end technology, and then lead implementation
*Work closely with the development teams to ensure they understand and fit into the front-end technology approach
*Write high quality code and not be afraid to test it
*Peer review code to make sure we are all aligned
*Collaborate closely with design, concept and product teams.
*Identify and give ideas to help engineering productivity.
*Be involved with all meetings to share ideas and challenges on best practice.
Tech Stack/Requirements
*+3 years experience with Javascript
*Experience with other Java Frameworks (Jasmine etc)
*Experience with HTML and CSS (Basic PHP knowledge is a plus)
*Experience with React or Angular
*Experienced with front end patterns and best practice
*Version control with Git
Beneficial
*A Computer Science degree from a reputable university
*Deep experience with web development
* Photoshop/Indesign skills
*Working with start-ups and collaborating with offshore teams
*Experience with at least one object oriented language :)
