We have a long history of industry firsts, and each year we commit a substantial amount in Research and Development to meet customer needs and patient demands.Currently we are looking for a Senior GL & Reporting Accountant professional who will be responsible for keeping and interpreting financial records.Join Alcon and help the world See Brilliantly!Main ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day activities for General Ledger Accounting (fixed asset, inventory, provisions, etc);Maintain period end closing activities – ensure correctness of closing balances, calculation of provisions, coordination of accrualsMonthly IFRS reporting – preparation of Balance Sheet, Income statement and all detailed forms as per group reporting requirementsPerforms the balance sheet account reconciliations;Comply and execute monthly internal financial controlsContribution to the year-end financial statements preparation in compliance with Hungarian statutory accounting and providing supporting documentation for audit purposes;Monthly Product margin reporting preparation;Equipment financial agreements (leasing) reporting;Blackline, Smart close pack usage;Participation in accounting and reporting projects, coordinated by the EMEA or Global Finance teams (KPI improvements, implementation of new tools if required etc.)Background and experiencesUniversity level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant / MBA desirable;At least 3 years' experience;Operational competencies: process excellence, problem solving, relationship management;SAP knowledge is a plus;Intermediate + English language is a must;Hungarian language is an advantage;ability to deliver on project, follow up and roll tasksWe offerOpportunity to work on best in class technology platforms and solutions, having the broad view at the technologies & tools used in Alcon globally;Opportunity to work in a high paced agile environment with people who are passionate of delivering outcomes and a culture of simplification and ownership;Empowerment to create, improve and work on the innovative solutions that will deliver the highest value and determine the direction of our organization growing & developing;Attractive compensation and benefits package: life, accident & medical insurance, meal allowance, mobile allowancePlease submit your application with the English version of your CV and cover letter.
