Senior HR Analyst in Alexandria

Job Summary/Company: Sparks group has partnered with the city of Alexandria in search of a Senior HR Analyst to direct and manage the recruitment, selection, and promotion process within the department. This is a 6-month contract opportunity paying 30-39/hr. with a hybrid schedule after initial probationary period. Responsibilities: This position will assist the director and human resources liaisons in filling vacancies, preparing requisition packages, interviewing applicants, training others in interviewing techniques, and assuring compliance with all city, state, and federal rules and regulations. The analyst provides advice, guidance, and direction to department managers on employee performance issues, including disciplinary actions, and assists with leave and attendance record keeping and processing functions. Qualifications/Background Profile: 3-5 years of HR and Recruitment experience and a BA, OR 7-10 years of progressive experience in HR and Recruitment Candidates must possess a good knowledge of Human Resources administration, including accepted methods and practices of recruitment and staffing, position classification, training and maintenance of records Possess the ability to present ideas and recommendations clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, job applicants and the general public. This candidate will need to pass a 7-year criminal background check and work on-site until cleared for Hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote) Qualified candidates should apply below AND call Sparks Group for additional details.
