This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business, where we seamlessly connect farming customers with food, feed and industry.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Senior Merchant will handle a supplier base and fulfill transactions delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing, volume, quantity and cost. In this role, you will buy and sell commodities from and to country elevators, producers, feed mills and processors.Key AccountabilitiesHandle proteins sales book in the Black Sea region and execute the marketing strategy on domestic feed market on proteinsManage and develop close relationships with feed and food clients having a deep understanding of customer strategies and behavior in order to design and execute a customer solutions strategyImprove volumes, margins and provide meaningful market data to the group and team. Manage inherent risk of the distribution webAccountable for reaching the budgeted results for the respective productDaily positions and daily profitability analysisResponsible for accurate P&L reporting to hub and P&L estimates reconciliation with finance departmentPipeline management and planning, seek to have as small stocks as possible with no delivery interruptions Lead the distribution, ensure smooth logistics and stockSupport local administrative flow on Short term debt, Forex, market exposure on own products, legalAssuming a leader role and attitude, whilst acting as a mentor to the younger team members QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceProven experience in commodity tradingProficient in English and Romanian languageBroad understanding of commercial rolesAnalytical skills and able to make quick decisionsResults oriented, ability to tackle risksStrong negotiations skillsMS Office Suite (good level of Excel in particular)Preferred QualificationsSound risk management knowledge and P&L knowledge Strong product knowledge of the various components of possible customer solutions for clients#LI-CH1We provide a fast paced stimulating international environment, which will stretch your abilities and channel your talents.
