Our associates make the world more productive by improving the efficiency and reliability of the machinery that keeps industry in motion. Located in Romania and reporting to the Manufacturing Advancement Manager, the job holder will be responsible for:• Capital projects - Support capital investment efforts related to Timken’s business growth initiatives within the region. This includes: project support, process designs, specification/ selection of new assets or upgrades in technology to existing equipment, and implementation of assets/process technology into plant sites. This work requires the creation of Appropriation Requisitions (ARs), basic business case analysis, tracking/forecasting of project spending, and resource planning.• Product/Process rationalization - Contribute analysis to support global product/ process rationalization efforts by performing manufacturing process benchmarking analyses and manufacturing cost comparisons across the plants.• Project management - Utilize project management tools for key projects including project and resource planning and assist in the implementation of corrective actions when necessary to ensure timely completion.• Continuous improvement – Provide technical support to increase throughput, improve quality/process capability, reduce costs, enhance safety, etc.• Technology transformation – Assist in the development of manufacturing plant implementation plans for newly-developed processes, working with corporate groups (Research & Development, Global Material Quality, Quality Advancement, Design Engineering) and customers as needed. Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:• Mechanical engineering degree or related.• Relevant working experience (min. 5 years) in Manufacturing and Process Development.• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies.• Advanced knowledge of machining manufacturing concepts and operations (finishing processes, automation, heat treatment etc.).• NX CAD modelling and drawing.• Excellent interpersonal and team skills, including the ability to communicate (oral & written) in English.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to learn quickly, flexible and adaptable.All qualified applicants shall be treated equally according to their individual qualifications, abilities, experiences and other employment standards.
