We know that when our people are rewarded, recognized, and rejuvenated, we win as a team.Role OverviewBe an integral part of the Revenue Accounting Team, responsible for a wide range of Secureworks accounting including the monthly review and recognition of revenue, accounts receivable and deferred revenue. Candidates will be expected to formulate and administer approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary for internal and external reporting. Responsible for complying with Sarbanes-Oxley section requirement as applicable.Role ResponsibilitiesResponsible for accurate and timely month-end close activities that includes (but is not limited to) analysis and reporting, complex journal entries and account reconciliationsPrepare monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure accounts are reconciled with timely resolution of reconciling itemsRevenue and balance sheet analytics to ensure accuracy of results while working closely with internal teams to validate and investigate issuesDemonstrate subject matter expertise to assist business partners including, but not limited to Sales, Operations and FinanceDrive continuous improvement through recommending to management updates to accounting policies and through the development, maintenance and implementation of systems, processes and proceduresCollaborate with internal teams to drive change that will assist in the scaling of operations through automation, work assessment and process improvementProvide analytical context for financial and operating results to business partners at month and quarter-endDrive department projects (strategic, tactical and control) where analytical and relational initiative is requiredParticipates in external and internal audit activities and work paper preparation for quarterly reviews and annual audits.Adhere to accounting policies and procedures and actively seek out opportunities for process improvements and efficienciesOther tasks and ad hoc requests as needed​Qualifications & desired skill sets6 to 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a finance environment (Financial Controller, Auditor, Accounting/Finance Specialist)Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in EnglishStrong accounting acumen and knowledge of US GAAP/IFRSAdvanced Excel knowledgeStrong knowledge of the following tools: Workday, Salesforce, FinancialForceStrong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for critical thinking and issue resolutionExperience working in a medium to large multi-national corporate accounting environment that includes transactions in multiple currencies and various local reporting requirementsHere are more reasons to join our team!
