Senior Sustainability Consultant in Cernavodã

We are looking for an experienced and passionate leader for the Bespoke Research Team (BRT) that comprises 20+ team members across Romania and India. The BRT is part of the Sustainalytics' larger ESG Research team, providing research services that cater to our client's needs when our traditional product suite isn't a good fit.The team delivers both one-off or recurring Bespoke Research as well as subscription research services that fall outside of Sustainalytics traditional product suite.The project-based service focuses on customized research. We develop customized research frameworks in consultation with our clients that meet their specific research needs. The team then gathers and analyzes the relevant data in order to provide insights on a broad range of ESG topics.The team is also responsible for delivering research on client portfolios on a subscription/recurring basis. The focus area is Product Involvement (PI) Research, which allows clients to identify companies involved in a range of products and services that may or may not align with clients' core values (e.g., thermal coal, controversial weapons, tobacco).Job Responsibilities• Strategic Leadership: Define the team's strategy in line with the organization's broader strategic direction and support the team in delivering their mandate.• Commercial opportunities: Oversight of commercial opportunities and conduct marketing initiatives related to bespoke research. Ensure the commercial viability of the proposals submitted to the clients/prospects to drive sustainable development and long-term success.• Team Management: Coaching and mentoring team leads to build strong performing and motivated teams.• Drive Results: Ensure the PI Portfolios and the Bespoke Research Projects are delivered/updated according to client requirements (on time, at the expected quality, and within budget); Improve the BRT's projects planning and delivery capabilities with a focus on quality and budget control; Refine key metrics for team success, establish reporting capabilities and collaborate with senior management about risks/challenges.• Content Management: Stimulate high-quality research. Organize capacity-building initiatives, implement robust quality control tools, and take corrective measures in case quality is at risk.• Process Management: Improve the business processes to generate qualitative and efficient research services. Document critical processes in Standard Operating Procedures. Analyze client complaints and implement corrective and preventive measures.• Project Management: Maintain the BRT's projects portfolio and encourage project management best practices and tools.• Technical Tools: Work with internal stakeholders to further develop the team's technical tools for the smooth delivery of the research services.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues within the Global Research Team and other Sustainalytics functional teams.• Client Management: Represent the BRT in client calls and act as a Project Sponsor for the bespoke research projects.Qualifications• Master's degree, with 8-10 years of experience, preferably in a research environment.• Strong commercial skills.• Experience with operational management.
