We are looking for a maintenance technician to join our team in the Dobrogea area: Braila, Galati. As a maintenance technician, you will work together with other technicians executing preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting inside the wind turbines. How to contribute to our vision The candidate will perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance in wind-turbine generators. You should have a desire to show your expertise but also keep learning about electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics as you will be responsible of the general maintenance of the turbines. Your main tasks consist of implementing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance actions on the electrical and electronic parts of the turbine, analyzes and diagnoses faults in the electronic and electrical systems, using specific schemes and automated control systems as support (video screens from which check the performance of the machinery); identify the fault, carry out the repair, replacement and installation of parts, modules, or tools. It is crucial that you will be fully compliant with SGRE safety codes and have a history of being able to follow set procedures. Reporting of your own work and coordination with other internal and external stakeholders will be other of your main responsibilities. You will be multitasking and planning service activities, while coordinating these activities within your team. We are looking for someone who is accurate and has a high safety awareness. The ideal candidate holds at least a high school academic degree with focus on Mechanics or Electrical or similar in combination with thorough practical experience with 3 years of practical work experience in the field. Having this experience in the wind or a heavy regulated industry and having some relevant certifications (GWO, ARNE, SGRE certifications…) are considered a plus. The role is physically demanding and requires working in high altitudes and confined spaces. Driving license is a requirement as you should be flexible and prepared to travel as our wind farms are spread over a large geographical area. It is important that you are fluent both in Romanian and English, written and verbal, as some of the documentation and other tasks are completed in English.
