About our team: -We are organised in scrum teams composed of Developers, QAs, Product Owner and Scrum Master. -We work accordingly to Agile methodology with all relevant ceremonies and the sprint is 2 weeks long. -We are collaborating and working alongside colleagues in Sri Lanka -We discuss diverse subjects and passions such as painting, stock investing, cryptocurrency investing, dentist visits, travel and astrology. As a Software Developer, you will work closely with your colleagues and your responsibilities will be to: -Prepare specifications based on client’s functional and non-functional requirements -Explain client requirements and proposed solutions to team members -Analyse specifications, design, develop and maintain/ debug mission critical, distributed software -Analyse specifications, design, develop and execute automated tests to validate the software against the specifications -Design, configure, automate and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software integration and deployment -Handle individual project priorities, deadlines and work you're doing -Have good communication skills in verbal and written English -Be patient and explain concisely and also learn to listen -Understand the cultural differences and celebrate them all You will be working on a: -Micro-services based system running on Linux backend -Web and native GUI applications managing the system -Database level changes To be successful in this role, we would like you to have the following: -2-3 years’ experience with C++ (we use C++11 and above) -2-3 years’ experience with Java (we use Java 8 and above) -Software Version control (we use git) -Working on Linux / UNIX operating systems -SQL & Shell scripting -Knowledge of build systems for C++ and Java (we use cmake, conan, maven) Nice to have: -Familiarity with AWS cloud solution (EC2 and RDS) -Familiarity with Apache open-source stack (Kafka, Kudu, Spark, Flink) -Domain specific knowledge (Capital Markets: order, trade, instrument, bond) We are looking for intellectually curious people, interested in the bigger picture of how technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios.
