About the Role:The SW Developer will be part of a team responsible for creating from scratch the Entertainment System software for a high end, embedded automotive infotainment system.What You Will Do:Implementation, documentation, troubleshooting and bug fixing of sub-components in the area of embedded software in C/C++.Working knowledge of software development tools (debuggers, compilers, etc).Working knowledge of software development processes.Working knowledge of embedded operating systems.Analyze existing embedded software to add features, make modifications, fix bugs, and/or port to different platforms.Tests software designs and code at the unit and system level to ensure that all requirements are met and the highest software quality is achieved.Coordinates software development activities with software team leader.Identifies product requirement or performance issues. Works with software team leader to negotiate a resolution.Communicate with peers inside the Harman group to coordinate software development. This includes occasional travel for training or coordination with other groups.Works with the customer to define requirements and to resolve issues.Develop and offer visibility on risk assessment for critical fixesOther responsibilities specific to the occupational safety and health:Becomes acquainted with and applies correctly the legislation, the general and specific norms in the field of occupational safety and health and the different procedures in accordance with the specific nature of the workplace;Attends the periodical training in the field of occupational safety and health and in the field of the fire prevention and extinction;Carries out his/her activity at the workplace in compliance with the occupational safety and health norms, the fire prevention and extinction norms, the health and individual hygiene norms at the workplace;Knows the risk factors and the professional diseases specific to the workplace;Identifies the dangers arising at the workplace and reports them to the person competent to take measures, according to specific procedures at the workplace;Observes emergency and evacuation procedures and indicates possible accidents by promptly contacting the corresponding emergency services;Uses the work equipment correctly;Communicates immediately to the employer and/or appointed workers/ internal/external department for prevention and protection any labour situation he/she has grounded reasons to regard as a danger for the safety and health of the workers, as well as any deficiency of the protection systems;Notifies to the management of the company and/or the hierarchical superior accidents suffered by his/her own person;Cooperates with the employer and/or appointed workers/internal/external department for prevention and protection in order to facilitate the accomplishment of any measures or requirements ordered by labour and sanitary inspectors, for the protection of the workers’ health and safety;Cooperates with the employer and/or appointed workers/internal/external department for prevention and protection in order to allow the employer to ensure safe work environment and work conditions, without any risks for safety and health, in his/her field of activity;Ensures the provision of information requested by labour and sanitary inspectors.What You NeedUniversity degree in engineering (Electrical engineering, Information Technology or appropriate graduation or technician).At least 2 years of experience as a software developer.Solid knowledge of C++.Linux expertise.Experience in developing embedded applications.Knowledge in inter-process communication, threading.Good English communication skills both written and verbal.What Makes You EligibleBachelor degree in Computer Science or other relevant (IT connected) specializations.Qt framework knowledge.Experience with infotainment / entertainment systems.Unified Modeling Language Knowledge.Knowledge in agile software development methods (SCRUM).Willingness to travel (0-20% of time) depending on the project necessities.Proactivity and good communication skills.Excellent task and time management.Attention to detail and “can do” attitude.Flexibility.Highly organized and multitasking.Analytical & critical thinking.Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.Automotive experienceGood Qt framework knowledgeExperience with infotainment / entertainment systems.Unified Modeling Language KnowledgeHand’s on experience in agile software development methods (SAFe, SCRUM, AgileUp)
