Our Digital Experience Platform (DXP) provides market-leading CMS, superior search, and seamless integrations all hosted in our secure cloud. In our new Developer Experience team, you will play a pivotal role in creating the tooling and experience for our customer developers who build their solutions on our platform. You will bring new technologies to an established platform, and transform the way developers create and maintain solutions. The primary focus for the DX team will be the discovery and delivery of our expanded headless offering, exploring APIs, JAMstack, and popular JavaScript frameworks to make it easy for developers to build modern web solutions on our platform. You'll also be working on enabling developers to automate their workflow, such as improving the process of deploying their solutions to our platform Who you would be working with: The Squiz product team is working to deliver a cloud-based digital experience platform (DXP). As a Software Engineer within our Developer Experience (DX) team, our primary focus will be discovering, exploring, and delivering technology frameworks to make it easy for developers to build modern web solutions on our platform. You will work to help define and deliver the developer experience in the DXP for Squiz services, Squiz customers, and agencies. What you would do: Build, own and maintain greenfield projects in TypeScript/Node.js on AWS serverless infrastructureHelp design and build public APIs for core platform services such as content management and searchBuild new developer tooling and services using modern cloud-native, DevOps, and quality practicesTest and trial new frameworks and tooling to help developers build and deploy solutions within the DXPHelp to transform and modernise the development practices across the business Software Engineer, Developer ExperienceProactively seek feedback from others to make informed contributions to team discussions on the roadmap, architecture, and strategyContribute to agile planning, refinement and delivery with the DX team and tech leadCollaborate with tech writers on technical software documentation Be an advocate for developer concerns within the product team What do I need?Enthusiasm about Software Engineering and improving the developer experience for othersWillingness to bring your experience and ideas to the team and collaborate on the best outcomeDemonstrated experience working in a Software Engineering roleDemonstrated knowledge of working in a static/strictly typed languageTypeScript and Node.js software engineering experience (3+ years ideally)Experience designing and building public facing APIsExperience working with AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, S3, SQS, etc)Experience building or maintaining developer documentation DesirableBuilding CLI tooling or automation scriptsKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and conceptsExperience working with multiple API standardsContribute to agile planning, refinement and delivery with the DX team and tech lead Why work for Squiz?
