That’s what #LifeAtCummins is all about.We are looking for a talented Sourcing Specialist to join our Sourcing team in Craiova, DJ, ROMANIA.General job description:Plans and ensures the execution of daily supply chain operations in a department such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, requisition management or order fulfillment. Ensures that internal and external customer expectations and demands are met.QualificationsIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Issues and sends to suppliers the supply orders prepared after analyzing the results obtained by running the MRP procedure in the ERP system. Prepares, distributes and monitors reports specific to the area of activity. Tracks the status of supply orders and intervenes to correct/reduce any delays. Collaborates closely with suppliers to develop improvements. Executes daily operational planning process within the department. Identifies potential supply chain errors as part of the planning process and mitigates associated risks. Uses the planning system to provide consistent signals to the supply base. Serves on functional process improvement teams. Drafts and reviews instructions and procedures specific to the activity being performed. Monitors and adjusts parameters in the planning system. Skills: E-Commerce Concepts – Basic knowledge of e-commerce options and how they impact the company. Supply Chain Knowledge – Has knowledge of the supply chain, but does not know the functions involved or the role of these functions in delivering the product or services to our end customers. Inventory Item Control and Management – Understands the principles of inventory item control and management and how they impact the local and global supply chain. Knowledge of logistics (external and internal) – Knows how to complete all necessary logistics documents (dispatch sheet, pick list, commercial invoice, etc.) and is able to organise the transport of cargo to/from Cummins centers using the correct transport equipment (container, trailer, flatbed truck, crawler, etc.). Production Planning – Specialized training in production line balancing, inventory planning, scheduling, etc. Is able to effectively use these tools to adapt to changes in the current production system. Is able to implement changes with appropriate assistance. Supplier Relationship Management – Understands the importance of developing effective supplier relationships. Assists leaders in developing supplier performance reviews. Assists in relationship management and is responsible for some simple relationships. English language – advanced level Microsoft Office package – advanced level Qualifications: Higher education, preferably economic or technical Bachelor’s degree.
