We have an opportunity for a Sr Strategic Plan Specialist to join our Honeywell Safety and Productivity Solutions team in Bucharest. The Senior Strategic Plan Specialist will develop market, opportunity and competitive assessments for the SPS senior leadership team. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, ability to identify patterns and work with unstructured content and strong research background.
This individual must be able to analyse market, competitive and technology trends and understand customer needs generating opportunities for growth. This individual will be responsible for collecting, analysing and summarizing data from various sources: internet research, economic databases, market reports from diverse research companies and analysts, customer and competitor research, industry events etc., and synthesize findings, develop and present recommendations.
This individual must be able to develop and sustain strategic conclusions to internal partners & stakeholders, including C-level executives. He / she should be able to perform under tight deadlines and have tight tolerance for ambiguous requests.
Sr Strategic Plan Specialist responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor and analyse macroeconomic and industries relevant for SPS and raise awareness of trends and their potential impact on SPS
- Provide in-depth research on global and regional markets: trend analysis, market commentary, statistical and data analysis
- Create, maintain and periodically validate market sizes and growth trends; develop top-down / bottom up market analyses
- Perform detailed competitive intelligence profiles for selected SPS competitors – covering financials, strategy, portfolio, partnerships etc; develop implications and recommendations; manage a curated competitive intelligence update
- Conduct custom, in-depth competitive and market analysis based on objectives; will own end-to-end project management: request root cause analysis, prepare research plan, set up check-in points, deliver and present analysis
- Interact with external suppliers on report / data queries; develop relationships with external market research partners
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics or finance, engineering or other technical background
- 10-12 years of working experience, preferably in strategy, market research, business analysis, competitive intelligence or related roles
- Excellent abilities in Microsoft Office, specifically: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
