Job Description Assist EMS Cdty in New supplier-sub suppliers assessment and selection Assures that purchased materials and sub-components meet the Garrett Quality requirements. Manage the APQP/Quality/Technical activities on new programs launches (NPI). Support Continuous Quality Improvement plans with Suppliers and Monitor progress. Support rapid problem solving and corrective action implementation with suppliers. Perform frequent process and technical assessment at supplier sites, Report audit rating, areas of risk, observations and improvement opportunities and track gap closure Specific duties: Monitor supplier performance Metrics and deploy improvement plans accordingly Apply a variety of tools and techniques to improve product quality, process capability and cost Interact with Suppliers to resolve material problems on-site. Drive RC analysis, ICA and corrective actions Coaching the Supplier on Manufacturing process and Quality Systems Qualify External Process Capability and Capacity for NPI/HLRR - PPAP/ Run @ Rate Manage supplier APQP requirements for EMS suppliers with complex supply chain (+ 300 components) Attend Product Design Review, Supplier coaching activities (implement Garrett templates/ Procedures) • •Manage APQP activities from proto to PPAP included Lessons learnt, Risk assessments and mitigation plans, Process flow, Test equipment’s, EOL, Quality Gates Proto-ODT-PPAP submission, validation, release, supplier capacity validation R@R- On site Audit Qualification, Attributes & Technical Skills required: Engineering master’s degree in Electronics or Mechatronics Working experience of minimum 8 years, preferable in automotive industry, EMS Company Fluent spoken and written English, 2nd & 3rd European language is a plus. Project Management – Strong proven Leadership Skills Excellent personal organization, capable to plan and manage his own work, communicate in a clear and concise manner with all business functions and suppliers Six Sigma experience - Lean expert - Black Belt is a plus Quality practices: AIAG global group of standards for automotive Q – APQP (steps from 0 to 6 stage), PPAP (automotive to qualify the process for the lasunche), D&PFMEA (deep dive problem solving – the make the DMIAC (6sigma) problem solving tools) , DOE, IATF-16949: automotive standards and tools Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies IPC-A-610 Certification,: specific electronic standards our suppliers to adapt in ther production process Manufacturing Process auditing knowledge from SMT Soldering (CQI-17) to final product assembly Problem solving analysis skills with a logical and methodical approach (8D, 5Why, Cause/Effect Diagram) High Skills in Power Electronics, Active & Passive components like PCB - Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA), Semiconductors, Wiring Harnesses, COMPLEX INVERTER/CONTROLLERS Module, Stator Coils and Stator Coil assemblies, Connectors, Brushless DC Motors, Bus Bars, Plastic Over-molding. General experience in EOL Test for electronic components. In process-check for PCBA manufacturing like ICT, AOI, in line 2D/3D X-Ray. PT Failure Analysis with 2D/3D X-Ray machine, Sono-Scan. Experience with PCBA tear down and destructive/non-destructive failure analysis processes Ability to Read drawings and technical spec, wiring diagrams, schematic drw, engineering instructions for assembling electronics units Capability to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions with good understanding of Process Instructions (Sw, Hw, Firmware parameters). Knowledge on complex micro-electronics device: Microcontroller, ASIC, SOP, FPGA, PLD, IGBT, Power MOSFET and Software (ASPICE)
