Due to the continued growth of our practice and consistently high demand for our services, we are now recruiting a high calibre Senior Financial Services ESG Associate for our team in Bucharest.What does your work look like?As a Senior Associate you will be working on projects for leading Romanian and international financial institutions. You will provide advice on ESG regulatory components on topics such as EU SFDR and Taxonomy Regulation, the ESG EBA Guidelines on loan origination and monitoring or ECB Guide on climate-related risks.In addition to working for clients, you will also contribute to the business development of PwC in your area of expertise. You will develop and apply new techniques in the field of sustainability, ESG risk management, including climate risk and others. Hence, you continuously develop your skills in order to grow professionally.About the role:Understanding complex business contexts, with focus on ESG (environmental, social and governance processes)Keeping up to date on marketplace and ESG regulatory topics and trends, and apply insights during the delivery of engagements as new ESG regulations emerge and laws changeEngaging on business level discussions/ workshops with clients and delivering ESG projects for banksPerforming of ESG gap analyses by reference to new standards, regulations and guidelines issued by local and European authoritiesDeveloping or implementing new processes, policies or solutions aimed at ensuring both compliance and operational efficiencyDeveloping and managing long term relationships at senior levels with clientsManaging teams of associates and being responsible for their career developmentApplication of common sense / commercial awareness / knowledge obtained during the project to assess the quality and reliability of information suppliedWhat we are looking for:You have a university degree in business/finance, economics, risk management, an ESG-related subject, or another discipline You have 3-5 years of relevant working experience in the financial sector, in the area of risk management or ESG regulatory reportingKnowledge of the banking regulatory frameworkYou have experience with leading (project) teams, and you enjoy building relationships with our clients and (international) networkExcellent critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem-solving abilitiesStrong research, analytical and report writing skillsHigh proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and experience handling large amounts of data (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau)Strong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulnessAbility to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner (both in English & in Romanian)What’s in it for youPwC is all about people, encouraging high performance and quality.
