Autodesk Revit, as the world-leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, helps architects, engineers, and other building industry professionals to design everything from the world’s tallest skyscrapers, largest airports, and even new landmarks Autodesk is seeking a Team Manager with experience in agile software development practices to participate in and manage a cross-functional scrum team focused to improve and modernize Revit's graphics capabilities and adopt new Autodesk and open standard tools. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the agile “servant-leader” role and will be able to balance acting as the manager with encouraging the team towards a culture of self-organization and ownership of the work and processes. With the time that is not spent on direct management responsibilities, you should be able to help the teams deliver working software in other ways, e.g. by contributing to the agile processes or by testing, designing or developing software depending on your skillset. Responsibilities Support, encourage and assist the members of an agile team Recruit and hire new team members as necessary Identify opportunities for individuals to grow within their role, including opportunities for training, challenging assignments, and new collaboration Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture that values continuous improvement and iteration Establish team goals that connect to the wider organization goals; monitor progress against them Work with the product owner to help the teams deliver working software every sprint and release valuable and useful capabilities at regular intervals Minimum Qualifications Relevant experience working on software development teams Formal or informal leadership experience – we’d like to see that you can inspire and influence others, even if it was not in an official manager role Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment Excellent communication skills BS, MS or PhD – Engineering or Computer Science is a typical qualification, but we are open to people who took other paths to the world of software engineering Preferred Qualification Prior manager or comparable experience, such as product owner or scrum master, supporting various sized team and projects is a plus Experience in built high performing engineering teams with diverse skillset, attracting good talent Experience in BIM software development Technical leadership experience in one or more areas of graphics, modeling
