Role Profile Role title: Technical Product Ownerr, Application Development (Customer Companion) Colt Level: PT1 Function: Application Development Reports to: Customer Companion Product Owner (Andrei Baltes) Location: Romania, Sibiu Role purpose Customer Companion is a strategic project which provides an overview of Colt’s customers to the internal commercial teams. It’s objective is to consolidate customer data, provide insights and automate internal processes. The purpose of this role is to act as a system expert who can guide both the development team and business towards a scalable and consistent system design and act as a deputy to the Product Owner. In this role they will analyse customer needs, priorities, build feature design and document software implementation. They will ensure compliance with technical, architectural, security and design requirements. The ideal candidate will be a system expert, acting as a bridge between the customer and the development team. Key accountabilities Primary The requirements engineer for Customer Companion will work closely with the development team to build the low level design, and with the business to ensure an excellent product fit Act as the deputy to the Product Owner Operational Build and maintain feature specifications for developers and maintain up to date documentation based on the implementation Conduct interviews, or workshops with the future users of the software to ensure ideal feature design Identify the customer’s priorities and record conflicts between individual requirements Decompose application features and customer requirements into system requirements Maintain low level design documents based on latest technical implementation Monitor the impact of each iteration to ensure customer needs are met by having a customer-centric leadership Write acceptance criteria and coordinate with the quality assurance team to ensure product stability Build mockups and prototypes to validate and test features Partner with key stakeholder to understand business objectives, high level requirements and success metrics for software projects Coordinate with the support and training function to ensure proper launch of new features Contribute to building an environment of continuous improvement within the development process Ensure customers are updated with progress and expectations are appropriately managed Works closely with leadership, project team, infrastructure, security, architecture and developers to help foster a culture of collaboration and partnership Role specific requirements Skills & Experience Excellent ability to identify and analyse requirements Strong experience in writing low level requirements specifications for technical team Experience in managing requirements, supervising the system implementation and post-release Experience in software development, such as APIs, microservices, data models Experience in delivering software in an iterative, continuous delivery environment that ships value frequently Good Knowledge of software development methodologies Strong research skills with knowledge of industry software development best practices Strong proficiency and ability in data manipulation Understand business problems and perform gap analysis for features Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills Pro-active mindset with strong self-organizing skills Good command of software development life cycle Experience of presenting service performance reports to customer.
