Our applications are processing 10s of thousands of requests per minute and you will get the opportunity to work in a fast paced and scaling environment, which requires creative and innovative solutions to meet the requirements of our customers.
The position we require is that of Technical QA who will join one of the development teams. The successful candidate will be working in one of our 6 software delivery teams consisting of 5-7 developers and 2 QAs and contributing to the solution automated testing.
Key responsibilities include:
Joining a dev team and testing new functionality as it is delivered on a daily basis.
Involvement at an early stage of epic/story definition to ensure QA team have full understanding of upcoming requirements but also to provide a QA perspective.
Ensuring that your team understands and works within standardised workflows and follows cross team branching and merging strategies.
Managing merge requests of finished features to master-qa branches.
Adding to the Automated Test Framework to handle regression testing of pre-existing functionality.
Communicating with the POs to support them in the approval process of customer logged bugs and defects.
Desired skills include:
3-5 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role.
BA/BSc in Software Engineering or other relevant discipline.
Coding experience in a relevant scripting language: Python, Java, etc.
Knowledge of bug tracking systems such as JIRA.
Knowledge of Continuous Development and Delivery platforms such as Jenkins.
Experience with creating or working with an existing Test Framework is beneficial.
Having a logical and big picture QA Mindset will go a long way!

The successful candidate will be required to work well and communicate across multiple teams both internal and external as well as having the skills required to work independently where required. The Test Framework will initially be focused on frontend specific testing, but over the next year will be required to support the following - API acceptance tests, database integration tests, mobile application tests, penetration tests.
