We are now seeking expressions of interest from experienced Technicians - Fibre Assurance/Splicing for our national telecommunications business. Ideally, you will have experience in the delivery of projects and have the drive and motivation to further yourself and your career.These roles will be based in metro Sydney and occasional requirement to travel to outer metro and some regional locations. You and the team will have an active role in delivering current and upcoming projects.You will be responsible forInstalling/repairing/maintaining/splicing and terminating Fibre Optic CableTerminating Connection ModulesOTDR, power meter & light source fibre optic commissioningReading and understanding cable plans and designsExchange transfers and patchingWhat we need from youExperience working as an Optical Fibre Technician on a major telecommunications network (Optus, Telstra, NBN etc)Must have Optus accreditation (Level 2 or 3)ACMA Open Cable RegistrationThe ability to read and understand cable plans and designsCurrent Australian Drivers LicenceWhite CardAffinity for continuous improvement and innovation, applying learnings to ‘real world’ project delivery environments.Alignment with our values of Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude & LeadershipDesirableCertificate 3 in TelecommunicationsOptical Fibre AccreditationAbout UsWe build and maintain critical infrastructure that connects and enhances communities across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
