Overview
The newly rebranded Cloud & Platform Technology (CPT) franchise sits within Group CIO as part of the Group CTO function. We are responsible for forward looking technology across Deutsche Bank (DB) and offer 4 macro products: Application Platforms, Data & Analytics, Process & Automation and Developer Tooling. We aspire to be the benchmark technology organization in DB. This role sits within Application Platforms as the Product Owner for Applications. Application Platforms also covers Web and Messaging Platforms.
The Application Product Owner will be responsible for three of our strategic platforms for application hosting including a Docker\Kuberentes-based container solution, our java based workload solution and our Splunk-based logging platform.
The role will set the vision and strategy for our Application Hosting platforms across the bank on different infrastructure venues and comprises of core activities across the lifecycle of our services including: Performance & Stability, TCO, Metrics & Reporting, Feature adoption, Community, as well as owning the processes for these activities.
Product Owners are responsible for being the voice of the customer and co-ordinating across the engineering, architecture and operations groups to develop the roadmap and meet client requirements and deliverables.
Your key responsibilities:
- End to end accountability for product performance and product success
- Own the TCO, the pricing model, ensuring no over or under recovery. Includes ownership of all direct costs and oversight of consumed costs inc P&L
- Work with the customers to identify their demand, capacity and ensure plans are in place to meet that demand
- Understand the market needs, define problems, create long term strategies to deliver customer value
- Foster an open community that works for the benefit of the product including vendor relationships
Your skills and experience:
- Strong Product Ownership experience in Application and Platform Technologies
- Experience of one or more of the following technologies: Docker, OpenShift, GKE, Java, GCP, Azure, Software Loadbalancers, Splunk
- Understanding of Cloud Native applications and Twelve Factor Application design.
- Strong Software Engineering/Integration/Architectural/Solution Design experience.
- Delivery focused and a strong results-driven technologist with a broad technical background, highly motivated and a team player.
