SolarWinds provides software and solutions that help our customers to monitor, manage, and secure complex IT environments to increase productivity and enhance competitiveness in their businesses.We are looking for a passionate Engineering Manager to join our team in leading a team that is responsible for implementation and maintenance of services like Single Sign-On, Feature Flagging, User Management, User Provisioning and so on. ResponsibilitiesDrive a distributed team of developers and QA towards the culture of continuous improvements and innovationFoster and drive good software quality management practicesPlan, identify, hire and develop employees with the skills needed by the team. Develop technical leadership and engineering competencies within the teamBe a direct manager of scrum team membersParticipate in feature discussions, high-level analysis and planning, oversee high level architecture designWorking closely with Product Managers, Product Development Teams and Architects to understand software requirements and business needs. Ensure that the product delivers compelling features with great usabilityWorking with DevOps and support to guarantee seamless product deployment and continuityEnsure that quality and efficiency are top priorities of the engineering teamCommunicate with other engineering teams, help them with onboarding and usage of common componentsBe self-driven, with a focus on achieving team goals and overall project delivery milestones QualificationsMust have:Previous experience as Engineering ManagerLeadership skills necessary to manage and develop a teamOrganizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on trackInterpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audienceDemonstrated proficiency in multiple areas of programming (e.g. web development, concurrency, design patterns, etc.)Excellent communications skills, good attitude and a friendly personalityExperience with public clouds (AWS or MS Azure or Google Cloud)Understanding of source control concepts and tools (Git or similar)Familiar with Agile methodologyNice to Have:Hands-on experience with the programming languages C# or GO or Java or PythonExperience with CI/CD platforms e.g Jenkins, CircleCIAbout N-ableN-able is the leading global provider of complete IT management and Automation solutions for Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
