Environmental Project Manager in Voluntari

Job Summary

This candidate will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of multiple mid to large-sized projects for a multi-national oil and gas client. Interfaces directly with technical project manager and project team to deliver projects on scope, schedule and budget. Understands and incorporates client requirements in management of projects including commercial contract terms, change management process, financial performance KPIs, etc.

The Project Manager is responsible for the project team coordination such way to deliver the project/ projects by achieving established project performance criteria while respecting Company and Customer quality standards and job requirements:

  • Use client and AECOM prescribed tools to track and manage financial aspects of the projects

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and meet budgetary objectives, while making adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

  • Complete Project reviews and EACs

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Interface with AECOM business line leadership to communicate financial status in accordance with established financial performance KPIs

  • Ensure contractual and scorecard compliance throughout the project lifecycle

  • Identify, report and escalate challenges to management as needed

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation integrates global resources into local project delivery

  • Integrate in the Internal Client (Lead Office) team and develop good working and interpersonal relation with Customer representatives;

  • Act as Customer advocate within the Company taking all necessary measures and precautions to allow project delivery in accordance with contractual requirements;

  • Ownership of all tasks delegated to Coordinators and other project staff;

  • Responsible for project communications with customer for the assigned projects;

  • Provides input to schedule for local resources;

  • Responsibility for project set-up;

  • Develops work orders and work plans for project tasks;

Minimum Requirements

  • Has a minimum 10 years of project experience with at least 5 years as a Project Manager in Environmental projects or projects with significant Environmental components.

  • International project exposure in a work sharing environment is preferred.

  • Consultancy experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or higher in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science ore related science is preferred from at least a four-years accredited college or university.

  • Fluency in English is a must. Any other foreign language is a plus.

  • Possess a professional certification Professional Engineer/ Geologist, EurGeol, SILC or equivalent with relevant professional certification. Or is affiliated to a Professional Organization or willing to join one.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
