Position Summary

Right across the Pipera metro station, the Samsung Shared Services Centre Europe, established in 2016 in Bucharest (Romania) covers Financial, Customer Service and HR processes for Samsung subsidiaries across Europe.

Role and Responsibilities

What is the role about?

As a Workday Data Management Specialist  you will have the chance to work in Workday , our HRIS System, and support the Samsung organization user needs by acting as an HRIS partner for in scope HCM areas: Recruitment, Core HR, Core Compensation, Talent & Performance and Reporting.

What will you get to do?

User Support

  • Handle customer inquiries about HR processes and systems within the agreed SLA;
  • Handle errors and troubleshoot problems in HR Workday system;
  • Support and guide Local HR on issues related to Workday BPs and system configuration;
  • Cooperate with local HR in order to ensure organizational chart accuracy in Workday (regular reorganization processes);
  • Effectively perform mass data uploads (hire, job change, reorganization, regular evaluation, promotion, merit pay increase etc.), as well as initiation of business processes in the HR system;
  • Communicate & train the Talent Partner community in terms of Competency Assessment, Goal Setting and Performance Evaluation so as to grown their knowledge and expertise;
  • Support the business with regular analysis of employee data and reporting across various HR Management Systems.

Technical Support

  • Troubleshoot mass data uploads (EIB): resolve issues related to mass data upload, system upload etc.;
  • Conduct T&P testing in Workday in order to identify operational challenges & enhancement solutions that could be applied for them in alignment with the local practice;
  • Work closely with Talent Partner community to support their technical challenges in terms of T&P and find system solutions to conduct successfully the Performance Evaluation cycle within the agreed timelines;
  • Support the reporting function in Workday (identify the optimal report for a request, add fields to a report, create a new report, worksheet usability etc.);
  • Develop reports on employee data for analysis and decision-making, statistical data analysis and other reporting as required.

Project/Enhancement Support

  • Identify gaps and inconsistencies in processes and procedures and support to adapt the processes to the new systems;
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation based on Workday functionality;
  • Document talent information, track and maintain T&P project deliverables, timelines and propose allocation of resources or new way of working to ensure project achievements and deadlines are met;
  • Recommend improvement based on problems surfaced by inquiries from internal customers;
  • Support Workday system update (biannually) by analyzing the updates and regionally test out the newly updated/revised configuration/BPs;
  • Pilot and implement regular audits through data quality projects destined to assess data integrity within the system.

Skills and Qualifications

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field;
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in Workday, specifically working in Core HCM, Talent & Performance and Reporting;
  • Has good to expert experience in working with Workday HCM, HR technology platforms and HR shared services environment (familiarity in HR functions and HRIS);
  • Proven experience and success working on Talent & Performance matters, displaying not only system expertize but also overall understating of the HR practice in terms of T&P;
  • In-depth experience with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, graphing, charting functionality and macros. VBA is a plus) and Workday Reporting module;
  • Exceptional customer focus and project management skills - able to interact and contract professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts;
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with multiple deliverables, some larger with longer timelines and others requiring immediate attention and completion;
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with a wide range of internal customers;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Effective verbal and written English language skills.
