Investment Analysts work closely with IFC’s Investment Officers, who are responsible for the design, negotiation, structuring and subsequent supervision of the Corporation’s investment projects. Investment Analysts help identify new projects and assist Investment Officers in executing deals and monitoring investments in portfolio companies.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create financial modelsAnalyze historical and projected financial statementsConduct industry and market research and assist in IFC’s business development effortsReview company information and prepare reports on periodic financial statements and project progress reports and other information submitted by clientsPrepare documentation for IFC internal processesEstablish and maintain quality client relationships to ensure responsive client service and to enhance new business opportunitiesParticipate in investments negotiationsParticipate in the monitoring of investments in portfolio companies
Selection Criteria
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, banking, or relatedUp to 3 years work experience in a financial institution or other finance-related fieldStrong analytical and conceptual skills including corporate/project financeAbility to develop complex financial modelsKeen interest in development finance and multicultural environmentsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writingFluency in English required and proficiency in language(s) of the region preferred
