And we’re looking for people to join us.Position summary:Reporting to the VP/Head of Innovation of SmartBear Innovation Labs, the Principal Engineer will work on incubating new product ideas to determine technical viability in areas that can help SmartBear create the next generation of developer tools to help them confidently accelerate their software deliverables. The mission of the SmartBear Innovation Labs is to Incubate and deliver on new product ideas to expand SmartBear’s leadership and innovation in Dev Lead Quality and DevSecOps. They will be responsible for working alongside the leader and the team,  in identifying new opportunities, assessing, and prioritizing the strategic fit and potential of these ideas, incubating a subset to test commercial and technological viability, and developing a few into products, with a strong focus on developers, self-service and product led growth. They will be responsible for working with the Innovation Labs team in defining and creating the process including the stages that constitute the innovation journey from ideation to delivering commercial products.
