Job Responsibility
Purpose of the Product Owner role is to develop and implement the strategy to increase Vodafone’s share of digital customer acquisition & digital sales by delivering a consistent roadmap of differentiated e-commerce propositions & journeys and managing end-to-end digital funnel & sales while optimizing ROAS across all digital assets and channels / entry points.
Key accountabilities:
Defines product priorities and objectives:
- Provides leadership in gathering and defining product requirements, strategy, specifications and roadmap, as well as making recommendations and presenting options that enhance the value of the product
- Responsible to translate the business vision, goals and stakeholders feedback into clearly defined requirements and backlog for the teams and provide business reasoning for each item
- Defines and manages the squad’s business strategy and prioritizes backlog of the Squad, ensuring the value creation for the business, and responsible of the business outcome
Product Backlog management:
- Build the backlog of Epics, User Stories to achieve business objectives and keep the backlog updated for at least 2 sprints worth of Ready for Development user stories;
- Accountable together with the team on the product from definition to end result;
- Facilitates the Sprint Planning to reaffirm priorities and clarify requirements
- Maintains a focus on quality, balancing the need for new features and addressing any technical debt or issues that have been uncovered
- Accept or decline the deliverables presented by the team within the sprint timeline
- Provide an active role, together with the Scrum Master, in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
Close collaboration with stakeholders:
- Work with stakeholders and the squad members to identify opportunities for improvement the product.
- Works with IT counterparts and business partners to understand their new/changing business goals, how they are being implemented through business processes work on translating the needs into IT requirements;
- Responsible for communicating with stakeholders across the board with Review meetings, including other PO’s, business managers, and the development team to make sure the goals are clear and the vision is aligned with business objectives
Competencies and experience:
- Degree in business administration, economics or engineering/Bachelor Degree (Technical studies, Business and/or Banking)
- Experience in Telecommunication sector at marketing and/or commercial roles/ BSc, would be a plus
- Experience in Product Owner role, preferable in an Agile environment
- Previous experience working as a Business Systems Analyst / Product Owner or Product / Segment manager for at least 3 years
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Communication skills - from product specifications to tickets’ raising, to stakeholder presentations.
- Knowledge / Experience of agile methodologies of digital project management
- Good team player with social skills that enables collaboration closely and easily with core team members and stakeholders
- Organized with strong analytical skills, results-driven and delivery-focused
