Reporting Specialist
Role purpose:
- Support operating and extending the reporting environment, aiming to measure and improve service level and performance of the Business Environment in Vodafone Group.
The key activities are:
1) Software developments for reports changes and creation
2) Software and hardware platforms monitoring
3) Providing ad-hoc analysis, initiating and managing Service Improvement project
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:
- Web pages and web reports creation / modification, using web technologies and SAS programming
- Automatization scripts development, using Unix / Linux / Windows server
- Data integration flow creation / modification by SAS batch programming
- Creating software solutions for connecting to new data sources or sending information towards 3rd parties
- MS Office reports-Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- Creating, based on customer request, detailed specifications and writing the programme codes
- Designing the overall reporting infrastructure and its evolution (back-end and web components).
- Managing the new reporting demands and customers
- Manage workflows to refresh, review and share periodical SLA and management dashboards, involving interested parties (e.g. Service Owners, Service Managers etc.), in the software delivered to the customer
- Monitoring, configuration and administration of the backend (SAS Metadata Server, SAS Share Server, SAS Scheduler, SAS Data Integration Studio).
- Troubleshooting for errors appeared during the current developments
Providing ad-hoc analysis, initiating and managing Service Improvement projects
- Analyze KPIs and reports in order to initiate Service Improvement projects and provide feedback to on-going projects.
- Standardize and continuously improve KPIs and reports
Deliverables:
- New and updated reports created by software developments in SAS, JavaScript, HTML, Office Suite, etc
- RePortal platform availability (HW&SW)
- On time and quality management of the SLAs and KPIs
With these skills you are a great candidate:
- At least 3 years of experience in data/reporting management
- SAS System Administrator, SAS programming, SAS Data Integration Studio
- Deep skills in SQL and Relational data model
- Basic Unix/Linux System Administrator
- Oracle Data Definition Language
- JavaScript programming language
- Experience in Data Analysis and data representation
- Analytic and process analysis skills
- Fluency in English
- MS Excel, Power Point and VBA for all chart, analysis and automation functions
- ITIL foundation
- Knowledge of Remedy support of all service management processes (Incidents, Problem, Changes, Configuration...)
- Administration skills of mid-tier Web components (Apache, JBoss, TYPO3, MYSQL, HTML, PHP, CSS)
