Role:                              Scrum Master
Reports to:                    Senior Manager, Agile & Technical Analysts
Location:                       Romania/Moldova
 


Our client is an International Payroll company specializing in Global Payroll Outsourcing, with many blue-chip clients.  Customers outsource payroll to our client to facilitate the management of multiple suppliers across the globe through one point of contact.
 


Role Overview:


The Scrum Master is a servant leader that supports and guides the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.  This position will be responsible for supporting our daily scrum ceremonies, applies a continual service improvement mindset and removes impediments for the team.  The Scrum Master will also support our product team and collaborates across several departments (Product team, business unit managers, and subject matter experts).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles
  • Assist/coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments across the organization
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports (Scrum & Kanban)
  • Assist product team with defining project requirements by identifying project milestones, release phases, etc.
  • Assist the product manager by turning prioritized requirements into deliverable functionality
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Interpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to construct workflow charts and wireframe diagrams; studying system capabilities; Technical specifications   

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Fluent in English
  • 5+ yrs. Combined experience in the following:

Agile development process (Scrum/Kanban)

Enterprise software platforms and IT development teams

Project management experience with PM tool experience with Smartsheets, MS project (PMP cert. a plus)

Experience with JIRA/Atlassian administration (Confluence, workflows, dashboards, reporting)

Experience with JIRA dashboards, filters, and reporting (Scrum/Kanban teams)

Experience with collection of requirements and user story writing/review

  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills (Servant leader)
  • Applied knowledge of an Agile framework (i.e. Scrum, Kanban, XPM, etc.), and understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC)
  • Applied knowledge of traditional/ Agile project management principles and practices in coordination across departments
  • Experience identifying problems, writing improved procedures and adept at user story creation/refinement
  • Applied knowledge/experience with Change Management functions and customer teams to ensure appropriate understanding and impact analysis on deployment methods (Software delivery)
  • Wireframing experience with Mockup software (Balsamiq, Adobe Xd, UXpin, etc.)
  • Experience in creating process maps - Knowledge of using Visio/Lucidchart mapping/modelling tools
  • Strong analytical, decision making, and organizational skills
  • Solid leadership, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and scrum teams within a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

 

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience in a Global Payroll organization and/or proven knowledge of payroll legislations at the Country level
  • ITIL certification
