Purpose of position:
The Senior Process Engineer Operations identifies and supports implementation of process optimization opportunities with impact on process efficiency, process safety, cost efficiency and operations related improvement measures.
Holds broad accountability for the field of Process Engineering within Operations and for developing and establishing specific regulations guidelines, and procedures), ensuring management objectives with a medium impact on surface facilities within Operations.
He/she ensures the compliance with the design standards for engineering activities (incl. quality standards) assists technology selection and acts as knowledge centre for the process engineering field, with a technical know-how at professional level.
Key responsibilities:
- Process engineering support for new and modernized/ automatized facilities in line with Future Operations Strategy
- Improved operations along various value chains within operations, maintenance and quick integration into MDT (Multi- disciplinary Teams)
- Assists Operations by analysing existing facilities in Upstream and proposes improvements, de-bottlenecking, upgrades to efficiently decrease operations costs and enhance productivity/efficiency of plants/equipment
- Analyses technical failures, low efficiency processes and suggests improvements;
- Aligns with Operations in order to ensure process engineering expertise in view of optimization/simplification of production system from well up to the selling points
- Review/assess operated facilities in terms of process scheme and identify & mature opportunities for change/improvement which satisfy operational requirements and improve safety
Requirements:
- A professional lead with extensive & international knowledge across own discipline. Has excellent understanding of the business context, all interfaces and interdependencies and manages complex workflows with other disciplines. Very good knowledge of principles, strategies, working methods within operations;
- Very good knowledge of principles, strategies, working methods within operations;
- International experience is an advantage
- Leadership experience
- Experience in Field Management optimization projects;
- Good understanding of the whole value chain from subsurface to the delivery;
- Extended experience and knowledge of Best practices in Integrity management and Process Safety
- Extended experience in Field Management (mature fields operations, production operations, production technologies, facility engineering, lifting of oil & gas, drilling, asset management, HSSE, managerial interrelationships, interaction with authorities, legal requirements)
