Senior Project Engineer - Utilities in Alexandria

Job DescriptionThe Opportunity With a healthy pipeline of projects coming up, we need an experienced Senior Project Engineer who will work across a diverse portfolio of projects within our Eastern Construction business. Based in Parkes with an expected start in Sydney (Alexandria) and reporting to the Project Director, you will be delivering the utilities component of this project. Upon completion there will be opportunities to support the Pre-Contracts and Estimating teams as well as delivery across NSW for Eastern Construction. projects.This role will see you working from the design development and approval stage, through to procurement and project delivery; ensuring safety, cost, quality and time targets are met; managing client, subcontractor, and stakeholder and community liaison; and reporting to senior management on performance.Responsibilities will include:Deliver projects in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies/procedures.Develop and maintain business relationships with all stakeholders, including Utility AuthoritiesLead & support a culture of Living Safely.Oversee HSEQ compliance.Project Management including programming/scheduling, contractual administration, procurement and technical aspects.Assist with development of your engineering team.Financials including monthly reviews, progress claims, cost valuations, budgets and forecasting.Hold productive project meetings with both internal & external stakeholders.About YouTo be successful in the role, you will demonstrate:3+ years’ experience as a Senior Project Engineer.A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent tertiary qualifications.Extensive experience in project delivery and you will drive commercial and operational outcomes, with a particular focus on your experience with design and construction of utility relocations scopes.Strong leadership and people skills as well as the ability to mentor and lead people.Strong ability and extensive experience in liaising with utility authorities in a project environment and solving problem in a timely manner, while maintaining good relationshipsStrong financial and contractual acumen is essential.Flexibility to work away regionally as required.
