System engineer requirements include an in-depth understanding of computer software, hardware, and networks.
The IT System engineer has to design, organize, modify and support the organization’s computer systems. These professionals have to upgrade and manage the software and hardware. The IT System engineer should handle any issues related to Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks, and Network segments. It is the system engineer who maintains operating systems, business applications, security tools, web-servers, email, laptop, and desktop PCs.

Responsibilities:
Install and configure computer systems and applications within the company
Respond to customer inquiries and assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges
Overseeing system performance and troubleshooting issues;
Actively update, maintain and monitor all aspects of computer networks
Resolve technical issues related to network and system interruptions
Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
Performing system upgrades following new releases;
Attend in-person meetings with clients to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software problems
Be “on-call” for all periods as assigned by manager, including participation in after hours support
Provide second level of support of relevant technical issues.
Sustaining network integrity, server deployment, and security;
Monitoring and maintaining network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, eMail servers, AntiVirus server etc;
Ensuring high-level security and efficiency resulting in 100% output.
Qualifications:
Education Required:
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology field is preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
Knowledge Networking, TCP/IP and Windows file sharing
Knowledge of Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, Windows 7, Windows 10 is desirable
Good writing, communication, mechanical, and computer skills
Should be knowledgeable in diagnosing/fixing/troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Knowledge in AD architecture and infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, group policy, security, schema changes, etc.)
Knowledge of DNS, Kerberos and Windows Authentication
Windows Server administration, systems documentation, backup configuration, systems performance monitoring, systems availability monitoring
Knowledge and troubleshooting skills for Group Policy on local workstations and servers
Ability to assist in troubleshooting network and system issues
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Self-starter and drive to take initiative and own issues
Ability to demonstrate supportive relationships with peers, customers, partners, and corporate executives
