Votre environnement de travailThe recent development in Ukraine have led over 5.7 million refugees to flee over the borders from Ukraine and a further 7.7 million have been displaced within Ukraine. The estimated 13 million people that are stranded in Ukraine face shortages of basic needs such as water, food and medicine. 3,143,550 refugees have crossed the Polish border, 453,848 refugees have crossed the Moldavian border and 856,941 refugees the Romanian border. This situation has led ACF France to open three missions in Ukraine, Poland and Romania and ACF Spain in Moldova. Romania is the center pool for Poland/Romania.In Romania, ACF is delivering MHPSS activities. The recruitment of MHPSS staff and psychologists are in recruitment process in Lasi to start activities there. Also, in Sighet and Radauti, ACF is working with transit centers and sending food and hygiene products to Ukraine. Finally, the mission is working on its Cash response with local partners in Maramures. In Poland, in Warsaw and Rzeszow MHPSS activities are ongoing with local partners. The main MHPSS activities take place in welcoming centers and train stations. In the same centers, 223 beneficiaries already received cash assistance. ACF is now looking for a way to access Ukrainian refugee community staying in host families. We are looking for a DEPUTY COUNTRY DIRECTOR PROGRAM to lead our activities in both Romania and Poland. ACF Poland and Romania is a new country mission (which is under the process of fusing into a single team now), which is still in the set up process. Therefore, a dynamic person will be needed for the Deputy Country Director Program.The position is based in Bucarest with regular visits to Poland. © Adrienne Surprenant /MYOP Votre poste et vos responsabilités The Deputy Country Director - Program supports the Country Director in the definition and implementation of ACF strategy in Poland & Romania. More precisely, you will :Support the Field Coordinators in their activities, Assess and propose possible adjustments to ACF response in the two countries,Analyse humanitarian needs, Assess and strengthens ACF partners capacity, Support the Country Director in the positionning of ACF and advocacy work. Votre profil You hold a 5-year degree in development studies, project management, or international relations. You have at least three years of field experience in humanitarian and/or development programs and at least one year of experience supervising a field office in an international NGO. Previous experience in a similar position, or at least experience or strong skills in managing multi-sectoral programs at the country level. Experience or strong skills in negotiating partnerships and funding would also be a plus.Strong management and leadership skills, and excellent analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal skills in English,You know how to make decisions while establishing a climate of listening and collaboration. Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
